As of this writing, our reviewers have not found any substantial issues with Than Merrill, or his company, Fortune Builders. This is not to say that his offerings are worthwhile. The Than Merrill Fortune Builders seminar is not unlike all the other "guru" seminars, and is the subject of numerous warnings by consumer advocates

 

Than Merrill does maintain an "A" rating with the Better Business Bureau, however, only after the BBB forced them to "adjust" some of their marketing hype to better reflect reality.

 

The major issues we have with Than Merrill's (Fortune Builders) offering is the high cost - it appears that "flip this house seminars" start at about $1500-$2000, but can go well above $35,000 rather quickly, to include things like coaching.
